HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT
Industrial. Hazardous. Toxic. Medical. Radioactive.
Medical Waste
AET’s medical waste program addresses all the requirements of medical waste regulations–FDA, the Joint Commission and RCRA. We identify correct packaging for hazardous waste vs. P-listed acutely hazardous vs. sharps vs. infectious. We return pharmaceuticals and routinely manage residual chemotherapy waste from cancer treatment facilities. AET reduces client costs by rendering an infectious waste noninfectious prior to shipping.
Our oversight and expertise are critical because of the nature of dozens of health care personnel opening containers and adding waste in dozens of hospital areas generating hazardous waste. Added efficiency: AET combines disposal requirements for different types of facilities into one work order for cost-effective disposal.
Radioactive Waste
AET’s staff have expertise in low-level radioactive and mixed waste management, having handled special form (i.e., sealed source disposal) and normal form materials–transuranic, source, special nuclear. We size and sort low-level materials for cost-effective disposal and characterize for waste acceptance at permitted facilities.
Our staff will:
Recycling
Clients with by-products containing commodity materials and metals will benefit from AET’s recycling programs: Beneficial reuse, metals reclamation, smelting, precious metals recovery, co-generation and fuel substitution and others. Ask us how using these services can help you minimize waste your company’s waste, promoting sustainable operations.
AET’s Universal Waste and E-Waste programs ease the compliance burden on businesses. The collection process is streamlined and handles proper recycling, treatment or disposal of items such these: batteries, pesticides, mercury-containing thermostats, mercury apparatus, aerosols, florescent and HID lamps and computer parts. Managing these materials as Universal Waste for recycling helps you reduce cost and simplifies your regulatory burden. Ask your AET Technical Representative how you can minimize your waste and demonstrate to your firm that you have exceeded their waste reduction goals!
